Hey there!
My name is Gianna Paredes (she/her) and I am an Austin photographer and artist originally from Dallas, Texas.
Since 2019 photography has been my passion. I love exploring the world and discovering the beautiful connections photography has given me. Currently, I focus my work on Mexican American culture to gain a deeper connection with my roots and traditions that have been overlooked for a long period of my life. I aim to represent the people in my community with great power and strength, while also giving myself space to reflect and understand the culture I grew up in.
I am currently a senior at The University of Texas at Austin pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art. I was formerly a member of The Daily Texan photo department, but currently open for commission. I am also willing and able to travel for work. I continue to learn about the art of photography everyday and I am excited to see how I will grow as a photographer.
